MALAI MAAF GARIDEU
*  *  *

The title of the film "Malai Maaf Garideu" illustrates present society which gives more importance to wealth and makes people arrogant. The moral of the film suggests that love, understanding and compassion for others is the key to happiness.

Harihar Sharma migrates to a city and gets rich. His wife Sushila along with their typical novue rich off springs Uttam and Priya, are arrogant and show off their wealth. But Harihar's love donates cash and land for school in the village. This puts him in bad notes with the rest of his family members. Uttam's parents force him to marry a village belle (Niruta) who is discriminated by all of the family members minus the father-in-law. Harihar Sharma, who is fond of his daughter-in-law transfers his property to Niruta's name. Later a formula fit funda and hero-villain climax as always, the story ends in a happy note after some anticlimactic incidents and fights.

Much cannot be said in terms of originality of the story but the movie director has certainly done a good job and made the film interesting . Sachin Sing's melodies deserve credit and so does Kamal Rai's choreographing. Gautam Shrestha has captured the beautiful sceneries of Ghandruk, Kaski which is an added attraction in the movie. All artists have done a commendable job. Niruta's and Uttam's acting deserve an appalause. Uttam has given even better performance in this movie that in Darpan Chhaya. The new actress Priya has done a good job too.
